GETTING HERE

BY CAR

Camp Mohawk is situated in 5 acres of ancient woodland near Wargrave, Berkshire. It is relatively secluded but is well sign posted from the centre of Wargrave, which is situated on the A321 between Twyford and Henley. As well as the map below, we advise that you follow the directions provided. Postcode for SatNav RG10 8PU.

A word of warning;  ‘Sat Navs’, both old and new, have been known to lead people to the wrong location so please double check before heading off. If you are lost then please do not hesitate to call us on 0118 940 4045 and someone will be able to direct you.

DIRECTIONS FROM TWYFORD:

  • On the A321 go straight across the crossroads on Wargrave High Street.
  • Turn right at Wargrave Motors onto Wargrave Hill.
  • After 0.3 miles Take the 1st Left, followed by the 1st right onto Highfield Lane.
  • Mohawk is on the right, approx. 0.7miles down Highfield Lane, just in front of Highfield Farm and Spring Meadows Business Centre (which looks like a farm).
  • Pass through metal gates on the right, and continue up the farm track with the barn on your right. You will arrive at the green gates. If they are closed, please ring the bell and a member of staff will let you in as soon as possible.

BY TRAIN 

Wargrave has a railway station which is served by trains from Twyford and Henley on Thames. Twyford has connecting services to Reading, Maidenhead Slough and beyond. Taxis are available on the forecourt at Twyford Station or can be booked to meet you at Wargrave Station. Otherwise Camp Mohawk is a 1.8 mile walk from Wargrave Station  – this is partly uphill and along a country road with no path. The walk takes approx 40 mins for an adult at average speed.

BY PUBLIC BUS

There are public bus services to Wargrave from High Wycombe via Henley on Thames, from Wokingham and Reading. These stop in Wargrave High Street from which it is a 1.6 mile walk to Camp Mohawk.

BY COMMUNITY TRANSPORT SERVICES

There are a number of community transport services that support people with disabilities to keep active and involved with their community and to access services like Camp Mohawk. All require the person with the disability or special need to pre-register. Trips can then be booked with  notice (from a few days to a few weeks) and will drop off and pick up at Camp Mohawk. At the time of writing most will transport the person with the disability and a carer free of charge. Some have small charges – particularly for additional people – but these are much less than a taxi  Please have a look at the website of the service covering the area where you live for more details:
