Within the boundary of the camp is an area of ancient woodland which provides a wild setting for playing, exploring and learning about the natural environment.
The woodland has been left to grow wildly and the only structures or identifying marks of human intervention are the dens, games and other tell tale signs of fun having been had!
The woods are made accessible all year round and are used for a range of activities from bushcraft, to den building, to animal spotting and even lazer tag during specific summer sessions.
Work and maintenance on the woods is vital to ensure that the trees are safe. Tree surgeons visit the site regularly and we develop and grow new areas of the woodland in conjunction with team building and corporate communitiy days during the quieter seasons.
