Camp Mohawk has been supporting children and families for over 30 years. We’d like that work to continue for future generations. If you haven’t made a Will yet you could choose to take advantage of a home-visit will making service offered by one of our supporters or make your own arrangements. *
As we don’t receive Government funding we must continually fundraise to keep our projects going. We have received a few legacy gifts in past years and each one has made a huge difference to our work. Legacy gifts can also help make big site improvement projects, like the planned upgrades to our much-loved pool, a reality.
Leaving a gift in your Will, whatever the size, is a simple process. Once you’ve taken care of family and friends, gifting a small percentage of the remaining estate, or a particular amount to Camp Mohawk, will help us carry on running the projects that so many families describe as a ‘lifeline’.
We’ve hosted over 150,000 visits to Camp Mohawk over the last 15 years alone. By leaving a gift in your Will, you can help us continue to be here for children with special needs, and their families, for years to come.
How to include us in your Will
If you don’t have a Will
You can either:
- Speak to your own solicitor if you have one. If you’d to leave a gift to us please tell the solicitor the full name of our charity is The Woodland Centre Trust (Camp Mohawk)
- Speak to County Douglas Law – a professional, family-run, will-making firm founded by a longstanding Friend of Camp Mohawk*. They can help you make your Will through a home visit, online video chat or telephone appointment for a fixed fee and they will make a donation to Camp Mohawk for each one completed – whether you choose to leave a gift to us in your Will or not:
Type of will | Fixed fee | Donation to Camp Mohawk |
Single will (one person) | £169 | £25 |
Double will (two people) | £249 | £50 |
New parents (with children under 5) | £129 – £169 | £20 – £25 |
*The Woodland Centre Trust (Camp Mohawk) does not endorse any will-making service or solicitor
If you already have a Will:
To add Camp Mohawk as a beneficiary, talk to your solicitor or County Douglas Law about updating it, or completing an amendment – called a codicil – and storing it with your Will.
