The Henley Festival (who have been kind supporters of Camp Mohawk for a number of years) have very kindly invited a number of our families to attend the Festival for free during the day on Sunday 10th July between 11:30am – 3pm. Families who would like to go will be allocated a ticket which covers 5 people (one of whom must be a child). If your desired family group is more than 5 then please let me know and we can allocate you 2 tickets.
Activities which are on during the day are aimed at children of around 4 – 11 years and will include a variety of workshops, music performances, comedy, and arts and crafts. Food stalls will be available to buy lunch, however if you wish to bring a picnic then you are welcome to do so as Henley Festival understand that some children will have specific dietary requirements, although this offer is not extended to the general public so please tidy up after yourselves.
Henley Festival also understand that children with special needs may find the experience and crowds overwhelming and anxiety provoking so, in order for children to have the chance to become more acquainted with the site before attending on Sunday 10th July, you may visit the festival site on Thursday 7th July between 2pm – 5pm (before the gates open). We would hope that this will help children become familiar with the site and will help elevate anxiety.
If you are interested in attending then please contact Chris Wilcox on chris.wilcox@campmohawk.org.uk stating how many people you would like to bring. If you are interested in attending the site on the Thursday then please clearly state this as well.
